Question: What is a "Munch"?

A munch is nothing more than a casual gathering of like-minded people. The “OK Munch” meets in the bar area of a local restaurant in southwest Orlando every third Saturday of each month from 1 to 5 PM.

To a casual observer, the munch will look like any other gathering of people. People in casual clothing will be mingling, talking, and some will be eating. In some cases even the topic of conversation will be pretty mundane since many of the people attending the munch will be friends.

But the main focus of a munch is to give people who enjoy alternative lifestyles a safe place to meet others with similar interests.

You should be able to make friends; learn about events/activities, and even parties. There will be no pressure to do anything. If this is your first munch and you’re a bit shy, a host can meet you outside, escort you around, introduce you to people and help you become involved in the group.
